Yelagiri Hills

The so long trip by the QA team has finally happened with the Yelagiri Hills. We booked a tempo and planned to leave on Saturday by 7 AM. We started with the crew and took the Highway to Yelagiri by the route Sriperambudur, Vellore, Ambur and finally Yelagiri. We had a coffee break at the Vellore. It was awesome. Vellore is famous for the "Lorry body building" & Finished Leather goods. On the way, we have time passed by sharing the experiences of "How you come to choose the Testing as your career?" It was a nice to hear their background before coming to Tagit. Then on the way we had lunch at Ambur. Ambur is famous for Biryani. The recipe came to the place by 1890. Finally we reached the Yelagiri.
Yelagiri Hills:
Timings : Take a room and can spend for a day.
Ticket Fare : Our budget is INR 2500 per head(Cottage cost will be 3000 bucks).
How to Reach: Buses available from Chennai, which is around 250 KM.
Nearest Place : Ambur, 60KM to Bangalore.
Best time to Visit: Anytime.
Duration: 1-2 days
Highlights: Lake, Lord Venki Temple.
Madhan has booked the cottage for us with his contacts. It is another awesome place, opposite to the lake and full of greenery.
We had a large space to play for the Cricket and that is what we do after reaching there.
By the time of dusk, we have visited the village and ordered some food for the Dinner. The place got chilled by the night. By the time of 7 PM, all the shops, ATMs will be closed.
Then we left to the room and then prepared for the Camp-Fire. we had a nice food with the DJ.
Later morning we got ready by 9 AM and visited the Perumal temple. It is walk-able from the village center. We return from the temple and then reached the Lake.
Punganoor Lake
Timings : 7 AM to 7 PM
Ticket Fare : 10 for entry, 10 for Camera, Pedal Boat - 50 per head.
Best time to Visit: Anytime.
Duration: 1-2 hours
Highlights: Pedal Boat, Shooting, Giant Wheel
Finally the tour will be nice memory for us.
