Chokhi Dhani is a place where the ambiance reflects the Rajasthani culture. We almost travelled for 3 hours in bus to reach the place. It is very far from the place where we are staying. First we reached Tambaram(bus fare - INR 22), then to Sriperubudhur(bus fare - INR - 39) and then to the Chokhi Dhani(bus fare - INR 15). Bus conductors will help to get you down near to the Chokhi Dhani. Another landmark is Rajya lakshmi Engineering college, which is on the way to Chokhi Dhani.

Chokhi Dhani, meaning ‘excellent village’. Chokhi Dhani has been the mirror of Rajasthani culture since 1989. Started as part of ambiance for a restaurant, over the years it has evolved as a tasteful and authentic symbol of ethnic village life. There is a bevy of traditional entertainment – dancers, acrobats, snack stalls – as well as adventure park–like activities for kids to swing on, slide down and hide in. In addition, you can enjoy a tasty Rajasthani cuisine served with love and affection.

Firstly they welcomed all the visitors by placing a Sindhoor on the forehead. We took the tickets at the reception and took some snaps.

Without any time, we first visited the boating. It looks like a small fort type and a small boating arranged within around the fort. It is pedal type boat. And it will be exciting for the small kids.

Later we visited the pure rajasthani village and welcomed us with the different type of huts/houses of those ages. And a man and woman, singing at the verandah and another womam, crushes the grains on rock -roll(prior to our grinding machines) and a small pottery arrangement, guides us how to make pots and a Makka Roti(Corn Roti) was given as snack.

Later we started the different rides(based on which type of ticket you opted). We almost covered the Camel, Horse rides, Chariot and Camel cart etc.,

Then they served the pudhina water, Jilebi and kachori.

Jaadhu(Magician) is a small magician allured with his tricks. And then we visited the different folk dancers at the different stages arranged near by each other. Most of the girls from visitors danced along with them.

On the way, there are different skills games and acrobatics on a bamboo and puppet shows are worth watching.

Finally the maze(Bhul Bhuliya) and Snake & Ladder are most entertaining ones.

It is the time to eat. We invited to final step of the village, where we waited in the hall for the dinner. They called in another half an hour. We sat on the arranged ground benches and desk to start our meal.

As they called, manuhaar( eats till to the desire), they served very beautifully and they make us to eat till our belly's are full. The hospitality is very good at the end, which is the most satisfying one for this trip.

Thanks Chokhi Dhani.
