Dakshinachitra is a place where group of different culture houses was there in those times. With the help of  Madras Craft Foundation(MCF), the 10 acres land is allotted for Dakshinachitra by Government of Tamil Nadu and the same houses were re-constructed with the permission of house owners.

We reached Dakshinachitra at around 3.30 PM. First, we visited the Tamil Nadu chettiyars, how the houses were there in those days. Then Hindu Agriculturist and then Ambur and brahmin houses. Then we visited the Kerala Kottayum Christian houses, manavu houses. Later, we visited Andhra Pradesh Ikkat house and chuttillu.
Due to less time, we missed few more, but covered all the houses.

This will be good, if the present generation kids have not seen her grand-grandfather/grandmother houses. Since, 80's and 90's kids were already know, this will helpful for the 20th generation kids.
