Image
Dated : 24th jan 2015 Crew : Solo with Murugan blessings. When I visited the first aarupadai veedu, thiruchandur, I thought I should complete the remaining sacred houses of Lord Murugan. The second one, thiruthani was completed in the last visit. Now my plan to visit the remaining houses as early as possible. But I never thought that I would complete this much soon, that too in a single shot. This time, I was very careful and committed myself that I need to visit only temples. No other places were planned. The first place started with the PALANI. I started off from the Chennai to the Palani by train. You could avail the Palani Express from Chennai. It is around 9 hours journey. I have reached the central station on time, and the train is waiting for me on 7th platform. Train has started on time. I didn't speak even a word in train, an old couple and middle aged couple covering the berths. I woke up a little bit soon and train was a little bit too late. I just e...

Dated : 5th Jan 2015 Crew : same as every time Thiruthani, is one of the sacred place of Lord Murugan. It is one the house of "Arupadai Veedu". Actually, I have planned to go on starting day of this year. But finally I made it after a bit later. By gods grace, I could find time for visiting this place. I have worked on weekends to get a Comp-Off. So, I have planned immediately for this obe of the aarupadai veedu. Thiruthani, is a also a near-by temple to Chennai. It would be a 90 km travel from Chennai. You could find atleast 2 metro trains per hour, starting from Chennai to Thiruthani. I have found this only after I missed the Express train. Some railway kooli nearby gave information on this metro trains. Hope, I have started at 9 m and reached in less than 2 hours. I have suprised after seeing the railyway board engraving the word Thiruthani in both Telugu and Tamil, besides English and Hindi. I just remember the some clips from Madrasattinam movie, where u could find...

Thiruporur is a place where one of the temple of Sri subrmanyaswamy,  situated near to Chennai at around 30 km. As my usual habbit of visiting some temple on first day of the year, I thought to visit Thiruthani temple, but time doesn't permit to do so. So, I planned to go Thiruporur temple. Me, Sai and Anil started to the temple at around 12 in the noon and took 2hrs from my place. Actually it was rained on the same day. We had visited the temple in wet clothes itself. It is a nice place where you can see the large pond on right side while walking to the temple. There was a huge crowd as it is the holyday for lord murugan. We are first confused which line to take, as there are sign boards in English. So, we blindly followed the other people. We took the special darshan line of Rs. 15(i am not sure, exact amount). And it took as usual of 2 hours between the iron rods separated by queue's. In between Sai made our hours to fill with answers of our amatuer doubts on God. And Anil...

Tiruchandur - kanyakumari (Day - 2)

I reached Thiruchandur at early hours, may be around 2am. Actually I didn't plan anything there. I thought I will reach at around 6 in the morning. I enquired a few of hotels for room. But due to holy day dusherra, all rooms are filled. Really I didn't understand what should I do. I thought I could wait there until the temple opens. But literally I am tired. At least I want to give rest to my back. I could see the people scattered every where in the temple premises, some people chit chatting and remaining have bed on the floor. I don't know whether I could chit chat with someone or wait on the nearby floor. But I decided, I should not be here. Then I roamed a little around atleast I could find some room. But I didnt. There are no people too in and around. Roads almost human-free. I went a little far, there I have seen two persons entering into the house. I doubted whether they are robbing some house. I came near to the house. I couldn't find those two persons....
